About
Marco Orellana: Freelance Recording and Mix Engineer.
Growing up with a musical background, Marco sought to apply his passion for music in a way that would help supplement his interest in music performance. He attended Texas State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sound Recording Technology. It was during his time in the SRT program that Marco was able to learn, craft, and hone his skills as a professional audio engineer.
Marco has recorded and mixed a variety of artists and genres, ranging from Smooth Jazz to Punk Rock and everywhere in between. He has also mixed projects in Stereo and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. Additionally, Marco has experience working in audio post-production for film projects, including film scoring, sound design, ADR, and foley. Other projects Marco has worked on include podcasting, live sound, and voiceover recording.
As a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Marco is able to provide valuable insight to the recording process. Having been on both sides of the glass, he understands exactly how to create the sound and atmosphere necessary for artists to realize their creative visions.
